Cove Creek Construction was started in 1986 as a locally owned small business. Chris Farrell has over 25 years of experience in residential construction. He is a 1982 graduate of the Carpentry program at Haywood Community College. Further education includes Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Certified Green Professional (CGP), and Certified Aging-In Place Specialist (CAPS). These are designations accomplished through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Cove Creek Construction, Inc. is certified through the state of North Carolina as a Lead Paint Renovator.

Chris is a member of the Haywood Home Builders Association since 1987, serving as President in 1989; a member of the National Home Builders Association since 1987; and a member of the Better Business Bureau since 1990.

Another asset of Cove Creek Construction, Inc. is the addition of the E-Z Breathe Ventilation System. E-Z Breathe expels contaminated air in your home making the inside air a better quality. The E-Z Breathe system is the ultimate dehumidifier, air purifier, and ventilation system.

Chris is trained on StablWall. StablWall is carbon fiber reinforced polymer sheets applied on cracked residential foundation walls to strengthen walls and concrete structures. It is as thin as a dime and stronger than steel.

An active member of the community, Chris volunteers his expertise with Habitat for Humanity and with the United Way's Day of Caring, serving as team leader for various improvements throughout the area.

He is a member of the Waynesville Middle School Booster Club, and has volunteered as youth coach in baseball and football. Chris was recognized by the Lake Junaluska Warrior Football/Cheerleading team for his volunteer work at their stadium.
